what is numpy in python ?

### Numpy in python is a Linear Algebra Library for Python, the reason it is so importants for Data Science with Python is that almost all of the libraries in the PyData Ecosystem rely on NumPy as one of their main building block.(i.e. pandas, data visualization, seaborn etc.)

Numpy is incredibly fast, as it has bindings to C libraries. For more info on why you would want to use Arrays instead of list.

Numpy is basically array processing package. It's provide very high performance multidimensional array.

We will only learn the basic of NumPy, to get started we need to install it!

__HOW TO INSTALL NUMPY IN PYTHON :__

__HOW TO INSTALL NUMPY IN PYTHON :__

#### It is highly recommended you install Python using the Anaconda distributions to make sure all underlying Dependencies (such as Linear Algebra libraries) all sync up with the use of a conda install. If you have Anaconda, install Numpy by going to your terminals or command prompt and typing:

`1] conda install numpy.`

**If you do not have Anaconda and can't install it, please refer to Numpy's official documentation on various installation instructions.**

###
__SOME BASIC EXAMPLES:__

__SOME BASIC EXAMPLES:__### 1.1 Example

import numpy as npa = np.array([1,2,3,4,5,6,7])np.savetxt('out.txt',a)b = np.loadtxt('out.txt')print b

It will produce the following outputs −

`[ 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.] `

1.2 EXAMPLE:

The numpy.save() file stores the input array in a disk file with .npy extensions.

import numpy as npa = np.array([1,2,3,4,5,6,7])np.save('outfile',a)

To reconstruct array from outfile.npy, use load() functions.

import numpy as npb = np.load('outfile.npy')print b

It will produce the following outputs −

`array([1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6,7])`

SECOND EXAMPLE:

`import numpy as np`

`python= np.array(list)`

`list=[(1,2,3),(4,5,6),(7,5,9)]`

`print python`

`output: in the matrix form array.`

*What does NumPy stand for?*

By using

**NumPy library**, mathematical and logical operation on array can be performed in very simply manner.numy full meaning**is**numerical Python,**this**a library consisting of multidimensional arrays and a collection of routine for processing those array in python.

*What is the use of NumPy in Python?*
we already see that

**NumPy**is a**Python**package which stand for 'Numerical**Python**'. and It is the library for scientifics computing, which contain a n-dimensional array objects which provide tool for integrating C, C++ etc. Another use of numpy is which also useful in random number capability ,linear algebra etc.

*How do you define a NumPy in Python?*
Numpy is incredibly fast, as it has bindings to C libraries. For more info on why you would want to use Arrays instead of list.

Numpy is basically array processing package. It's provide very high performance multidimensional array.

Array in

**Numpy**can be generated by multiple way, with various numbers of Rank,**defining**the size of the Arrays. Array can also be generated with the use of various data types such as tuples, lists, etc.**Tags:what is numpy in python-example-tutorial ,**
